Private Pilot Training
Any pilot can only be as good as his or her training. That’s why the most ambitious students, elite operators and advanced government agencies train with Western Helicopters. Start with the best possible instruction and build a foundation for a lifetime of safe flight for business or pleasure.
- Obtain an FAA medical certificate
- Pass an FAA knowledge exam
- Obtain required flight time — Dual Instruction: 25 hours, minimum FAA requirement — Solo Instruction: 10 hours, minimum FAA requirement
- Pass an FAA practical exam
The private course is designed to incorporate XX hours of flying and 35 hours of ground instruction. Western encourages students to attend a session of ground school and then fly. It’s the best way to reinforce the new skills learned in the classroom.
