Our Commercial Pilot Course is 141 FAA Approved, and performed in the Schweizer 300C model, which has demonstrated its reliability, safety and versatility.

FAA REQUIREMENTS -

1.  Obtain an FAA medical
2.  Pass an FAA knowledge exam (Writen)
3.  Obtain required flight time
          ** Dual Instruction - 30 hours
          ** Solo Flight Time - 85 hours
          ** Instrument Instruction - 5 hours
4.  Pass an FAA oral and flight exam

Commercial Course also includes 30 hours of Ground Instruction.

One advantage to training here at Western Helicopters, is the daily helicopter activity you will see.  Not only are we a flight school, but we are a daily helicopter operator working around Southern California.  One day you may see the helicopters leave for a lift job, and the other day you may see an aircraft leave for a mountain survey job.  We don't just talk about the real world of helicopters, we are doing the real world jobs of helicopters.
